John Galsworthy (1867-1933)

He was born in 1867 in Surrey. His father was a rich lawyer. He studied at Harrow and Oxford. In 1919, he refused knighthood. In 1929, he was awarded Order of Merit. In 1933, he achieved Nobel Prize. He died in 1933. Actually, he is a dramatist. But he has written some novels. They are The Man of Property (1906), The Foresight Saga (1922) and Modem Comedy (1929) are remarkable. He has written many dramas.

His remarkable plays are The Silver Box (1906), Strife (1909), Justice (1910), The Skin Game (1920), Loyalties (1922) and Escape (1926).
